Happy Belated birthday to our little pot- who is as of today approximately 150 dollars richer (number to be determined tomorrow at TD Bank- tune in for details). Though we haven't had much luck this year, the journey is all the more sweeter knowing we've opened America's eyes to being a bit more frugal by enjoying long walks with family, finding coins and putting them away to donate to charity.
How much have you found?

Our family enjoys your blog! We started a money finding blog a few months ago. It's a lot of fun.
Congratulations !
I have not found much change, but I do pick up all I find, especially the pennies, which reminds me of my dad (he used to pick them up)
Hello New York City Changepot,
Congrats and Happy 4th Birthday!
We started a blog a couple of months ago and had our first actual tracking money find back on July 12, 2009. Our first day we found $.38 camping. Our total finds to date is $22.26. We look forward to reading your blog. Thanks from The Lincoln Penny Project
Your story definitely got me interested in keeping track of lucky pennies I find. I started recording my finds on January 19, 2009, after I read about your story. I decided to test to see if I could reproduce your family's success.
My friend sent me a link to an interview with you after I reported some amazing finds due to 'heat-holes' as the snow began to melt after a rare bad snow storm here in Vancouver, BC, at the beginning of 2009. For more details, please see my blog post on 'heat-holes' and how you can use these to find a lot of loose change as snow begins to melt.
My total so far (as of December 27, 2009) for 2009 since recording is $23.69. Not bad :) The total would be between $12-$18 more had I properly recorded the finds at the beginning of January 2009. So assuming that you have a family of 4 who each find the same amount over the course of the year (i.e., $150/4 = $37.50), I'm not that far off. Interesting.
Anyway, I hope 2010 provides you with more loose change finds!
Wishing you health, success, and happiness!
Yours truly,
M.E.B.
