The Borgata weekend.. first $20 bill find since Halloween!

Wow.. what an interesting weekend! Hubby and I went out to see Michael Buble in concert and gambled a bit. Altogether we found a total of $26.65- hubby found a brand new twenty on the floor by a slot machine. What we found incredible was that there was no one playing in that row- so there was no claimants. We also found dollar bills, quarters, dimes left unattended at the redemption machines... whooohooo.. what a weekend!

End of month update.

In the past month, we've found a total of $5.77. I have a partially torn dollar here- found in the playground by my daughter Sandy, fourteen quarters (the most recent one found in front of a marine recruiting station in Long island), six dimes, three nickels, and fifty two pennies (seems like pennies are the pretty much standard fare nowadays).

Aside from the changepot, this month felt like it was going on forever! These were indeed the longest twenty nine days ever!!! Then again, I had the flu twice, lost my voice, and felt absolutely too weak to go to the gym. Now i've got to fight my way back to a routine- I've got my new 80gb Ipod in tow and i'm ready to put up a fight!!!!

Okay so I'm a few days late with the celebrations... so the Giants won.. whooopeee... I would have liked the Hawks to at least get to the SB this year. Maybe in '09? Still, congrats to my giant fan friends....

I've had $1.60 sitting on my desk waiting to be accounted for- I've been bad. My family has found change in the interim but i've been preoccupied with other things. It's ok.. there's always tomorrow :)

A step back-

What a freezing cold day! I did manage to find seven cents- a nickel and two pennies while shopping for an outfit today. I've decided this early morning gym thing may not be such a good idea- perhaps when it gets a tad bit warmer out then i'll venture out in the wee hours.. for now it's a no-go.

Happy Happy!!

Another year has come and gone- hello 2008! Thanks to the generous breeze that swayed my attention to a nearby folded wet receipt with $8.00 neatly tucked inside it. I let the money dry for a few days and now it's going right in the pot (not so big a pot like say, 2007). Part of it has to do with us not going out much also.

Yesterday, the Krabs found $0.92 scattered around in the mall and other various places- bringing the total of found money to $8.92. As I look back in 2007, I'm quite grateful for the new friends I've made this year and look forward to many more years with them in my life. Thank you, all of you, for bringing joy to my greyscale world!!

After watching a disappointing Giants- Patriots game, I figured I should record the Krabs' finds since the last update. Hubby managed to find a crispy ten dollar bill that flew right underneath the car before Christmas (thanks Santa!). The rest came in change- all $1.27 of it. We've been finding lots of pennies but it looks like dollars are in short supply lately (then again, we haven't been foraging around much!)

Sunday Update

Christmas madness is about! So far we've collected $1.03 in the past few days (mostly pennies, dimes, and a few nickels). Side note: yesterday we happened to see the cast members of the cable show 'Orange County Choppers' while shopping at the mall for last minute gifts. They look much bigger on television!

Were you thankful for all the blessings of 2007? I'd forgotten to update this blog for a hot minute here... we've been saving up the change we've found for accountability. So far it's $2.16. Year 3 of the changepot seems to have started rather slow. Today hubby found a dollar bill in the same mall where I found a $20 bill . Right now we haven't hit the double digits yet ::sigh:: I have faith though.
