Lovely. I just found your blog and I've been picking up change (and returnable bottles/cans) for years. It has made a difference! Today I walked the dogs and found 62 cents total! Thank you for posting!
Very inspiring! You have make someone on the next side of the globe (Malaysia)to think hard of this project.
now i try to do the (almost) impossible task by becoming Ringgit Malaysia Millionaire by collecting recycle money, collecting coins on the street, entering contest etcetera. and ofcourse, just like you, i will post the progress on my blog http://frugalmillionarepossible.blogspot.com/ on daily basis.
Hi, I just read about your blog on CNN. I think its a great idea, I've been doing it for years as well. I'm surprised you haven't picked up on one of the really good places to find change: fast food drive thru windows. I'm not sure how many of those there are in NYC, but around my area I can literally buy meals with the money found right outside the window.
I found your blog through Mrs. accountability and Out of Debt again and I must say I have been paying more attention to the ground and I have found like 20 cents since I started reading your blog. Thank for the inspiration to look and not feel dumb doing it. My 8 year old and I are picking up cans for spare cash for things and I am thinking of funding our emergency fund by doing this. Keep up the great job!
Documenting found change - from pennies to dollars- since October 2005. As seen on CNN, Fox News, and NBC.
